My two network computers are no longer able to see each other. I hace all of th eprotocals installed, and file and print sharing installed on both computers. Computer #1 is able to see itself in Network Neighborhood, but computer number 2 can't, which leads me to believe that there is a configuration problem on computer number 2.
It stopped woorking after I uninstalled a proxy server, but I thought I had changed all the settings back. |

Install the NetBEUI protocol for your file and print sharing - then remove TCP/IP, reboot, and reinstall it if you need it for Internet sharing. If you don't need to do that, just stick with NetBEUI.

verify IP addresses of each - remember same subnet mask too.

right now I am just having the computers obtain an IP adress automaticlly. I will try the NetBeiu protocal, thanks.
