Hi,
Right now I got a network on win98SE for 2 PCs at home. I am thinking of getting a cable modem. Can the internet sharing in win98SE be configured to allow 2 PCs to access the net. Is this the best solution? There are a few hubs that specialize in allowing different PCs to connect to the cable modem, is this more feasible? Also, is it advisable to use windows2000 instead of win98SE should i increase the number of PCs on the network for internet sharing. Thanks |

quote: Yes you can configure ICS to share a cable modem, the system plugged into the modem will need 2 NIC's. The hub works better in my opinion, but you will need a seperate IP address for each PC sharing the modem. MS still recommends staying with Win98 for the home user/gamer. And finally if you need more PC's on the network, by all means add them, 2 will work fine though. ------------------ Extra Screw? What Extra Screw?
