Any ideas? Nothing strange running. Using the Linksys Network In A Box. No hardware conflicts, and the protocols in use are TCP/IP and Netbeui. It happened with and without Netbeui. It occurs randomly..

Map a drive letter to the share. Access file using the drive letter.

One tip, do not cross share. Meaning, do not use shares volumes on both computers. Designate a common share on one computer and have both computers access that volume. This causes denial of access problems that is the likely cause of your crashing. The denials happen on cross-shared volumes when both computers are not started at the same time. For example, PC 1 is turned on and then later PC 2 is turned on PC 2 will see shares on PC 1, but PC 1 may or may not see the shares on PC2. And is PC 1 has a mapped drive to PC 2 the system may search the network that volume and hang or crash. Hope this helps.
