Gaming behind router & hub?
I for some reason cannot connect online to a game now. Was able to before. My son upstairs can and the computer in the other room can also (its connected thru the hub). I have zone alarm pro but I have tried shutting it down and still cant connect. When I open the port on the router I am not sure if I am doing it right. After saving my settings when i go back to check for open ports it doesnt show any open.
Thanks |

Can you see the other computers on the network?
If not check the cable connections. If they look ok you try these other alternatives. Try plugging into one of the other ports in the hub. Try another cable. Try another nic card. These suggestions are provided that you have the correct netwrk setting on your computer. You may want to check them to be sure that no one has changed them. Also sometimes shutting down the computer and restarting will help you reconnect to the network. |
