It was wokring fine...no changes or installs. Now I can see and access one computer from the primary one. But when I try to do it the other way around...it gives me the old Unable to browse network error.
I have all my TCP/IP settings set propoerly. I can ping back and forth between both machines, I can even access the web through my cable router gateway (3com, 4 port 100 speed hub, with print and com port sharing on hub) I am using a linksys pcmcia card for the laptop, running win98se, and an SMC 10/100 NIC in the desktop running win 98se too. I am stuck. When I have had this problem before, I would just run winipcfg and renew everything, and it was all good again. Anyone have any ideas? |

Hi,
Have you tried installing the Netbeui protocol and using it for filesharing instead of TCP/IP? Let me know what you can come up with and hope this helps. |

I'm not sure if this will do anything, but you can try going into the properties of File and Printer Sharing and changing the Browser Master settings from Automatic to Disabled.
