global groups/local groups?????
Global Groups: Organizing users who share similar network access requirements. Thats cool, I get that but..........it's the Local Group that messes me up.
Local Group: I read where it says the defination of a Domain Local Group is to assign permissions to resources. What's the difference between Domain Local Group and Local Groups? Also: "put accounts into global groups, global groups into local groups, and assign permissions to local groups" I would appreciate it if somebody could put this into laymen terms for me. Thanks BearStrike |

Its basically means to put users into catagories eg. all the accountants into the accounting group. then assign the accounting group the permissions you want them to have.
Thus eliminating 100 different accounts that you need to set permissions for...you only have to assign the permissions to 1. Or it at least lessens the amount of permission groups you have to remember. Cheers |
