What have I done?
I know this has to be something simple but I need some help...
I went to work with my PC the other day and had to change my IP to 192.168.0.99 so it wouldn't conflict I also added a default Gateway and DNS servers to my Configuration It worked fine, now when I came home and changed it all back my PCs can't see each other The local area connection thing comes up in the corner of both at 100MBps but a Ping doesnt work and we can't share our net connection I've changed my IP back to 192.168.0.1 and removed the DNS entries and the Gateway what else do I need to do, what have I overlooked? Thanks,

If you were DHCP to start with, you need to remove the IP, not set it to 192.168.0.1. If you were static, you need to add the correct gateway and DNS entries.
Hope that helps. The Old Man |

Are you using a router? Most routers have a set IP range it will allow, check to see if that is the case with yours. Also if u are using a router 192.168.0.1 is usually reserved for the aforementioned.
