Random networking lockup problem
this is a post from another fourm, i just want to put it here because it is kind of a networking question/problem...please help, this is REALLY ANNOYING!
i check my event viewer to see what happens to the system every time it locks up. and every time i have the same exact errors back to back. here they are. the first one that happens is an ERROR that says: Source: Server The server service was unable to recreate the share Users because the directory C:\Users no longer exists. i don't even have a server set up so what does that mean and how can i get rid of it. i have a router that share the internet through a dsl connection between 3 computers. those are connected to a hub and the hub is connected to port 1 on the router (the hub is for workgroup purposes). the second event that happens is a WARNING that says: Source: RemoteAccess A certificate could not be found. Connections that use the L2TP protocol over IPSec require the installation of a machine certificate, also known as a computer certificate. No L2TP calls will be accepted. i know what most of it stands for, like the Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (not really sure how it works), and i believe the IPSec is an authenication protocol kinda like CHAP. what can i do, or how can i "turn it off". these erros occur back to back almost. about 1-2 minutes apart every time. if you anyone needs anymore info, let me know. |
