What kind of network cards and other equipment (hubs, routers, etc.) are you using?

I ma using netgear and some netowkr cards i connect them with da cabvle and the light goes on green and pretty and im like ok thats all set. Then i go on xp and check if i can see the other computer and i can so i move the files over by dragging the mouse over and pullign them over I recently bought bought drive chips and inserted them into my cdrom drive for extra space my friend told me that i should buy more if i want more space that might be the reason why it's going slow.

What exactly are the drive chips you inserted in your CD Rom?

Netgear is fine and dandy, but is this equipment 10 or 100 megabit? More details, please.
