gaetway address

Im trying to network to of my computers, i have set the IP addresses correctly and the subnet mask,
but i've also got a box to set the 'Default Gateway Address'

What should i put in it?

the default gateway is the ip address that the computers will use for network requests that fall outside of their local subnet. so if you aren't using a router on the internet or ics, you can leave it blank.
