network analyzer

does anybody know of a good program that'll analyse a network and make sure everything is running fine (speeds, etc). also, something that will look for packet loss statistics and stuff like that.

i downloaded it. it requires windows 2000/xp/nt. i was looking for something for windows 98

no problem.

i found the ethereal packet sniffer. it looks like it'll work. also, it needs winpcap to run.

BTW I installed Network Probe and I really like so far, I'll have more time this weekend to play with it.
