I have my home Desktop running Win 2k Pro. Eventually, I plan on networking up to 4 additional computers to it.
My laptop is running Win XP Pro and I can currently access the desktop computer through my hub to the shared folder and shared printer on my desktop. This works great! When I try to access my laptop from my desktop by clicking on 'computers near me' it says that it is not accessable, Logon failure the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer. What am I doing wrong? |

Are you logged onto the 2k box? I'm pretty sure you'll have to be to access an xp computer.

You need to add a user to the XP user manager corresponding to the login and password you use to log into the 2K box.
