ZA Privacy Advisor

Hi

Well, my ZA works fine, but I personally find the Privacy Advisor popping several times a minute annoying, so I went to Privacy
Site Options Cookies Privacy Advisor and found the box checked next to - show privacy advisor -

But it is shaded lite gray and I am unable to uncheck it.

Any helpful hints, suggestions, or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Somewhere there's the option to turn off notification totally. That's what most people end up doing.

Actually they are two separate things.

Even if you tell ZA to not notify you of connection attempts, the privacy advixor will still come up (that is, if you have Privacy options enabled, and the little box he is talking about is unchecked, and a cookie, ad, popup, or code is blocked)

I am not sure why it is greyed out. I'll see if I can find out though.

*edit*
just wondering if you have a paid for version of ZAPro? Not sure if that would even make a difference though, as I thought the trial was time limited, not feature limited

As far as I know the Privacy and Ad blocking features are not available in the Free version.

He must have the paid for version then.

Maybe a reinstall is in order.
Refer to the ZAPro help files for the proper procedure to do a reinstall. Its a little more involved than you may think.

Ok

Yes I have the paid for version.
Notification and Privacy are 2 seperate things.
Also, I forgot to mention, that I had recently downloaded the
upgrade.
My solution was to uninstall ZA and then re-install my paid for
version of ZA. I did not re-install the upgrade.
During my re-install, I selected event notification off and I also
turned privacy off.
So now I am still protected and I still generate a log file, but I
dont get any pop up notifications and I think I am allowing all
cookies - I think.
I would like to see ZA come op with an option to turn of the
privacy notications in the same manner as you can turn off
the event notifications.
So now my family is much happier that no notifications of any kind
are popping up.

Thanks for all the help.
