adding hard drives to compaq proliant 1600

I need to add two 9.1Gb hard drives to a compaq 1600 proliant server that runs Netware 5. The drives are SCSI hot swap drives. What will I need to do in order to use the drives for expanding the data and sys volumes in Novell. Currently the server has two 4.3Gb hard drives. The server Hard drives are mirrored and I don't know what that will mean for me when adding the new drives. Thanks in advance for any help.
