hei some questions about building a wireless network
i recently purchase a new D-Link Air Plus DI-614+ Enhanced 2.4GHZ Wirless Broadband Router. I want to set up a home network which will alow sharing as well as sharing my 56k Internet connection. How can i do it? I have a desktop equipped with AMD Atholon 700Mhz with 640MB PC133 SDRam running Windows ME. And i have a latop with AMD Atholon XP1500+ with 128MB DDR Ram and running Windows XP Home Edtion. I want to set up that both comptuer can sharing files and share my 56k internet connection. How can i do that with my Wireless router. Can anyone show me and tell me any good web sites which will tell u a lot of info about networking!!! |

I know it can be done but why would you want to do that with dial-up? Dial-up alone is slow, but then you are going to share it with another user. If you and that user are using the dial-up connection at the sametime it will be even slower. You would be better to get a seperate phone line, or use only one PC for the dial-up connection, or if at all possible get a high speed internet connection.

www.practicallynetworked.com is a good site that has step by step instructions that are easy to understand for building a network.
