Networking Question
Hello and Seasons Greetings to all
I have a simple home network setup. (hub and 4 computers) When i first start up a computer it seems to take forever (at times) for it to be able to see the rest of the network. All the machines seem to do it but not all the time. Anyone have any ideas why this happens or what I could do to eliminate this annoyance. You can always "find" the other computers on the network, but it can take up to 10 minutes before they show up in network neighborhood. Thanks in advance for any replies. Also all machines are running win98se |

Could possibly be the speed of the hub. Is it 10/100 and all NIC's the same speed? just a guess...
