Question Losing network connection

I have a K7s5a mobo with 1700 xp proccesor.Win 98se 64 mb agp card.Also have Linkys router with 4 computers running also usin a net gear hub.My problem is that i just lose my network connection on 1 computer.Always the same 1,Does not matter where i connect to the router or hub,Have swapped network cards and cables...Still the same ...Just drops network connection.
I have had a lot of other boot up problems with this Computer but never a lost network....Any help woudl be appreciated...Thanks Daryl....PS i have tryied logging off windows and signing back in but makes no differenc.Only wa to get back up is to reboot...And since i have rebbot problems ..aka ...No signal to the moniter.....After a couple of trys it will boot just fine.

There are a number of things that could cause either problem but I think the first thing I would suspect is the mobo. Especially since they two very different problems could both be bus related.

That mobo has a history of problems. Try replacing the cmos battery and then flashing the bios to the latest version.

Network loss

I have never flashed a Bios....When i was haveing problems i used Dr.Watson and took a snapshot....It told me that msm messenger created a fault in windows program...So i disabled the msn mesenger and now just waiting it out to see what happens.As far as the boot up problem i just installed this board about 5 months ago but never did the ENUM trick.I think that may be my next step.....Thanks so far...Daryl

Smile Network loss

Since removing msn messenger...I have had no problems with network loss.Tried the enum trick but didnt help boot up problem.I will research the issue later on .Thanks to all for your help. Daryl
