Connected...I think

OK, I wanted to network my computer with my sister's laptop so that she can use my high speed internet. I went out and bought a Linksys wireless access point router (oh ya) and a Linksys wireless network PC card for her laptop. I went home and installed everything on both comps. Now, on her comp i think its getting a signal because when i get farther away a signal weakens. But, I cant get on the internet through her laptop or anything. I dont understand what i need to do??? I tried unplugging my computer from the router and plugging in her laptop WIRED to the router, and that worked, I was able to access the internet and everything. But, I want to have it wireless. Can anyone help me??

You have to make sure the SSID is the same on the wireless router and the wireless NIC, and they are using the same channel, try 6 first. Try with no security first, when you get it working you can use WEP security.
