Hi,
Ok, new mother board installed, shuttle with celeron 2 gig processor, os- win XP Prof., modem card - zoom. Card worked day before motherboard was replaced, modem farily new and says compatible with XP. Installed, when checked through system settings, it shows being installed, drivers working, when performing a modem query- says it's ok, there is a dial tone cords are good, followed through all troubleshooting and couldn't find anything obvious except possibly what is checked off in networ areas. When trying to use modem you can't even here it dialing, when trying to connect to internet dials, reattempts then says it cant complete. I've always heard the modem dialing and now I can't. If the modem card was bad would it check out ok in all the trouble shooting and showing drivers working? Previously I was running win 98se. I can't understand the person who installed the mother board and he can't come back out for another week. Tracy |

Go into device mangler, modem, properties, and see what com port and IRQ it's using.
Next, open up Dial-up-networking, and then the properties of your connection. Make sure it's using the same modem, on the same com port and IRQ as the hardware specs you got in device mangler. |
