tweaking internet explorer

came across this on another site and was wondering if any one had tried it?i did what was said and yes i see a big difference.

Turbocharge your Internet Explorer browsing speed

If you have a broadband connection you can speed up the browsing speed of Microsoft Internet Explorer by quite a bit with a registry tweak. By default IE limits the number of connections it'll make to a particular website but you can increase these values. Run regedit and go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current-Version/Internet Settings and look for two registry keys- one called MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server and another called MaxConnectionsPerServer. If these keys don't exist create them as DWORD values. Set MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server to 16 (the default is 4) and MaxConnectionsPerServer to 12 (the default is 2). Next time you open up IE and go to a website, especially one that's graphics intensive, you should realize quite a speed increase- assuming of course that the web server that hosts the site doesn't prevent your computer from making more than 2 connections simultaneously to it.

I have done this tweak in the past and it did help pages load somewhat faster, but nothing great.
