wireless speed question

I just bought and connected a 22mbps wireless router to my dsl with max speed of 768kbps. i connect at 680kbps with wired connection. With 22mbps wireless pci adapter, i connect at about the same speed. However, with 11mbps wireless notebook card, it only connects at 360kbps. Is this typical of 11mbps card? Do you always connect at a slower speed with 11mbps? What is the maximum speed that I can possibly connect with 11mbps?

What are you using to determine your speeds? Theoretically you should be able to hit 11mbps with your laptop. That is far beyond what your dsl is capable of. So your dsl should be just as fast wireless as it is wired. The only time you'll use that speed is when you share files between your own computers.
