Slow connection
I have three computers hooked up to a USR 8000A router. They are sharing a 256K cable connection. The problem is that on computers 2 and 3 the connection is very slow at times. Even when I'm not using the internet or downloading files in computer 1.
What gives? TIA for the input.

NK, I experience that with pc 2 & 3 at times while SHE is on her #1. It's closest to the router but that shouldn't matter. We'll be dragging along and she'll be flying. However, most of the time we can all 3 be on the Net and everyone's speed is great.
