Diamond external 2730 Mac -> PC?

I got a sweet deal on a Diamond external 2730. Here I thought all 2730's were PC serial, but the one I got turns out to be a MAC serial.

Any way I can save this modem for my PC, like a Mac serial converter or splicing on a fresh serial cable, or is the guts of the modem different???

Found some instructions for making a Mac to PC serial adapter:

As both the PC and Mac is essential the same modem (SUP2730), I'm gonna give it a go. Will most likely flash the modem with the flash upgrade for PC also.
