1. Remove ICS on both machines, if installed.
2. Internet options, connections - LAN settings - uncheck all boxes. 3. Remove and reinstall dialup networking if necessary. |

No,In the B system. Set Internet Options/ Connections /Dial up Setting to the middle one. ( Dial whenever a network connections is not present). That'll do the trick.

sorry, I discribed the problem incorrectly, here is the problem.
1. PC A & B both on lan using ME, both have modems, A configured as the server. 2. Both PCs work great sharing the internet using A's modem, both force A's modem to dial a connection. 3. However, If the user of PC B wants to dial with B's modem, for the sake of a little speed, or comfort. And B's modem actually makes a connection, the problem is that A wont see that connection and keeps trying to dial to offer the connection to B. The only solution so far is to disable the MYNETWORK during these times, which is awkward for A if A is already involved in a cool game or something and has to be interrupted. 4. Dial if connection not present- is being ignored by both PCs. When A is turned off, then B must manually use dial-up connections folders rather than just clicking on IE Explorer icon. |
