Using Netgear RP614 Router with AOL Cable
i have AOL cable, i want to share a Internet connection with another computer..each already has a build in Ethernet card, i purchase a Netgear RP614 Router connected PC 1, PC 2, and cable modem with RJ45 cables to my router, and when i try to sign on AOL it says udp/ip connection to the host is not available. but when i connect PC 1 direct to cable modem it sign on with no problems. can someone help me out please on why when i connected a router to my modem it won't sign on AOL

You can't use a router to share AOL because of the proprietary software. The best you can do is put 2 nics into PC1 and use ICS and a crossover cable to share with PC2, and you cannot use the AOL software on PC2 unless you have a second account (not just a second screen name), you have to sign on with PC1 and you can use standard Internet apps on PC2.
