problem with u.s. robotics 56k fax modem

alright, so this is a 56k faxmodem pci for windows (v.92), my other info SHOULD be in my signature now. so, i'm having trouble installing the internet call notification program for it. when i try to do it, it tells me "no U.S. Robotics modem detected. Please install your modem before running setup." i look under device manager and it says it's working properly and their are no conflicts. what do i do? oh, and i also tried the software's help program and xp's as well. xp told me to check something about the coms under ports in device manager, but i didn't see anything that said port. -Reuben

edit: And i've done the obvious (well, to me), like, make sure it's in the slot tight as well as try other slots.

Which exact model is the modem? Have you "qualified" the modem?

You might want to search USR support for "internet call notification".

I believe your ISP has to support V.92 before this feature will work.

You are right glc. I just installed the same program and it is very explicit in the instructions that the ISP must support V.92 .
