How to use P2P ftp in Total commander?
Hi, Folks
i'm a bit of a beginner at this ftp business so please excuse my stupidity!!! i want to transfer files directly between 2 different computers in 2 different towns...............someone told me i could do this using Total Commander (used to be called WinCommander)........... ..........what i don't understand is how do i find the address of each individual computer?........where would i see this? thanks for your patience! In Win98, go to Start > Run > and type in: winipcfg
In 2k/XP, open a dos box (command prompt) and type: ipconfig /all The "IP" is the number you want. |

In your FTP program, you need to specify that as the site you want to connect to.
Instead of FTPing to ftp://whateversite.com you ftp://62,###.###.185 The computer located at ftp://62,###.###.185 must have an FTP server setup to recieve the login from another computer. |
