windows 2000 to windows 98

I have a windows 2000 laptop networked through a router with a windows 98 machine. when i try to browse the 98 machine from the laptop, i can see the computer, but when i try to browse it i get an error message that reads

"there are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request"

any idea on how i can get past this so the windows 2000 machine sees the 98? i dont really care if it doesn't work the other way around.

Make sure you have “Client for Microsoft Networks” enabled on the 98 machine.

The 2K laptop may be configured to log into a domain - when you get the login screen, hit Options and change that to the local machine instead of the domain name.

thanks guys. glc's solution worked.. everything's cool now. although for some reason it treated this like a new user, so i had to import all the information over to the new user. it was a pain in the butt, but it's all good now.
