can it be posibo to connect a mac and win computers in a LAN of 5 comp

windows xp or NT will be the best for this along wiith os X |

If you using OS X, tcp/ip for a LAN will do just fine. Anything before MAC-OS X, you will need to set up Appletalk on the PCs.
