Linksys NAT
Is that sufficient for a firewall? Or should I have additional software. I have a web/FTP server behind the router.

Actually NAT is one of the firewalls, some routers offer SPI ( Stateful Packet Insection ) which offers greater protection

In addition to things like NAT and SPI, protection against threats such as trojans and spyware have to be monitoring outgoing traffic, which none of the broadband routers do at present.
