Linksys BESFSR41 question
I will need to connect 4 devices to my dsl connection. My question is does the Linksys BESFSR41 have 4 ports to connect computers to plus the wan port for dsl or is it one wan plus 3 for a total of 4? I looked at the product link and from what I could tell it is 4 plus 1.
Thanks Chuck |

I just bought one of these today (by mistake too - it was AOL that was killing the network with Roadrunner not a bad router) anyway you get 4+1+1
4 pc's hooked up to one input and a uplink so if you need to add another router you get a 6 inch cable and start stacking. That is why they say the limit is 253 users! |

If you use the uplink port, you cannot use port #4, so it's 4 computers OR 3 computers plus an uplink to another switch.

I checked the documentation and glc is (of course) right, if the port 1 is in use then the uplink port will not work as they have shared wiring.
Still, you can hook 4 pc's up to share Only when you need more than four will you be forced to add another unit, remove port one and uplink so at that pont assuming you add a 4 port hub you have 7 total connected PC's |
