I need a cheap, reliable 56k modem that is compatible with windows 98 or 98se...does anyone have any idea where or what I should look for?

Both are fairly important. I have been looking online, and being that my dialup experience has escaped me, I haven't kept up with any of the hardware involved.

Spend the $40 for a US Robotics 2976. It's a hardware modem, not a software "winmodem". Newegg has them.
