ASP errors - MDAC problems?

I have just moved all our local websites onto a new windows 2000 server from our old NT server.

We are getting intermittent errors appearing on pages that have database connections. 3 examples:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01fb'

An exception occurred: 'Execute'

/html/homes_directory.asp, line 9

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01fb'

An exception occurred: 'Open'

/nav.asp, line 30

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01fb'

An exception occurred: 'Rs.Open'

C:\HOME\BRIDGESTONE INTRANET\BACKOFFICE\../includes/agree.inc, line 18

As all these pages were working perfectly on the NT Server has anyone got any idea why this might be happening and how to fix it. Windows 2000 Server has service pack 4 installed.

There seem to be alot of people having the same problem - not sure if it is caused by service pack 4 but everyone mentions MDAC. Does anyone know how I can check which version I have running?

Cheers

DJ

Thanks for that link. The MDAC version I have installed is 2.6 SP2 (2.62.7926.1). I'm gonna go onto the Microsoft site to see if there is a later version to install.

I've taken a look on the Microsoft site and it seems there is version 2.7 and 2.8 - which do you think I should install?
