gigabit ethernet

is it possible to connect a server with just a gigabit ethernet port directly to a 10/100 switch, or does it have to be connected to a switch with a gigabit port?

Thanks!

Please don't double post.....

Yes... you can connect that way... it will just be limited to 100 megabit.
