After running Fdisk and formating my hard drive, I have reinstalled Win98SE and loaded all drivers, etc. Everything works fine and there are no question marks or yellow exclamation marks in device manager. (I built this computer about 18 months ago). My problem is that just as Windows is starting I get a Pop Up screen telling me to "Enter your network password for Microsoft Networking". It then has my user name and a place for password. When the screen first appeared I clicked okay thinking if I didn't enter a password the screen would not reappear on next boot. No such luck - the screen keeps coming up if I click okay or cancel. I uninstalled and reinstalled my network card (which is used to connect my cable modem) but this didn't help. While my computer is working fine, the screen is annoying, especially since I don't need or want a password. How can I get rid of this screen???

Try going into Network in the Control Panel. The drop down should give you another option (windows instead of client). Select that option and see what happens on reboot.
