Network Problem
I have two computers that are hooked up to a Linksys router. One computer has 98 runnin and the other has XP. My 98 comp can see my Xp comp and my XP comp can kind of see my 98 but i can't access any shared files that way. It just says the names, but doesn't have the folder icon next to it and i can't seem to be able to click on it. Can someone tell me if there is some file missing or something like that.

It says on the XP comp that the connections to the other comp are unspecified.

In XP you should SHARE a FOLDER you want to share not the the whole Drive itself. In Window 98 you could share the Drive but it is not advisable to do that. Just make a Folder. HTH.

What protocols are you using on both OS Did you grant specific access type in your Win 98 sharing options?
