homepage hijacked

My internet homepage has been changed to some crappy search page, approvedlinks.com/, and if I change it to default or any other page, it will until I restart and then returns to the crappy page again. I've deleted cookies, history, etc. but can't get rid of it. Any help out there???

Run Ad-Aware. Also look through your Add and Remove Programs for any adware/spyware.

Yet another is HijackThis, and you can probably find a bunch of other bad things while you're fixing this one.

Run Spybot, then click Immunize and tell it not to allow your home page to be changed within IE. You can still change it but only in the Control Panel.

Question--I have a problem reaching a certain website--see my thread in Internet and WWW. Could my problem be like what's talked about here?

Probably not. It could be the site was down, an invalid entry in your hosts file or a proxy server problem.
