Asus Motherboards with WIFI Slot
I was looking at the Asustek (ASUS) website the otherday and they had a motherboard on the front with a wireless slot on it. I dont know how many motherboard have this slot or if it is a new standard device or just an Asus only thing. It looked kind of neat.
Overall I do not like wireless as an option because it is mysterious and questionable. Will it work in may house? Who knows? It would probably work, I give up. So I am looking around on www.newegg.com today and notice the wireless networking part that plugs into their slot costs about $20.00. It also has a removable antenna. As wireless goes, if you have that motherboard wireless is suddenly cheaper. The last batch of Asus motherboards seem to have this Slot. I looked at their site and it looked like it was something I would like to try out. Asus WIFI Slot |

I guess I fail to see the allure of a proprietary WiFi device when there are so many standard designs that I can get cheaper.
