Printer Problem on home network
Set up a network for friend recently and when I left, all was well. Now the printer won't print from one PC. Owner gets any error message and a printer icon by the clock shows the number of documents waiting to print. The problem PC is running 98se, the main PC is running on XP home. Both are using same Workgroup name and each computer can see the other and see shared files. This is a wired cable system. Music stored on the XP system will play on the 98 system, it's only the printer that is acting up. The printer is an HP Photosmart 1000 usb connected directly to the XP machine. When I first set it up, I had to download new software and drivers to get it to work and I was able to print a document from the 98 system on the printer. That was last a week ago last Sat, now it quit working. Any ideas?
