Loosing DSL Connection

Hi,

Having some problems at work. We have a Verizon Wireless DSL account and when the PC sits idle for a while it looses its connection. The only fix is to restart the PC and everything is fine which makes me think its a software issue and not a hardware problem. Is there a timout setting somewhere? For what its worth the OS is XP Pro, Verizon DSL into a Westell WireSpeed modem, into a D-Link wireless broadband router (my connection is not wireless however) and into my PC which is a Dell Dimension 2350. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You could use Freeping to send a ping every so often to your router. This should keep your connection up and running.
