This is a GOOD package, folks - with the problems that NAV 2004 is having, I'm probably going to switch in February when my Norton subscription runs out.
Yup... I recently upgraded my bench machine from ME to XP and as part of the upgrade...Norton exploded... so I installed this package... so far, so good... seems VERY nice and I think I will be ditching Norton on my home machine next.

Don... what's your new addy so I can use that info.

It's even more bloated, and slower, than NAV2003, and has been known to crash out on both XP Pro and Home.

OK... this software officially sucks.... I had it set to check for updates and to scan NIGHTLY and I now have 15, non cleanable java exploits on this machine that I'm having a bugger of a time getting rid of.

MaxPC this month actually gave AVG 9 and NAV 8, simply because it did everything it should and it's free...not too bad.

Maximum PC is online but they dont have much of anything there except for some pretty cool online-only features. Their website is www.maximumpc.com

Its a good magazine and its only $12 a year for US (I think its a little more for Canada). Some of the articles are for newbs but most of it is geared towards experts.

When I said I don't think it is online, I meant the article about Antivirus programs.
