Webcams w/ built-in webserver

How much bandwidth do images take up in 640x480 mode. I am interested in using this across my office network and remotely from home. I use a 1.5M/384 DSL and will it be the limiting factor? I basically want to have some idea of the throughput of the images within an active network and across the DSL.

I think that would vary depending on the size and resulation, also it you want full time live video or a snap shot every few seconds
