Router causing problems

I just installed a linksys router model # BEFSR41. I can't log into hotmail or post messages here at the pcmech forums. I've tried clearing tempfiles, cache, cookies, and history. I can get log onto hotmail and post here useing other computers on my network. Anyone know whats wrong?

well yes,
you do not connect a router to another router,
it don't work that way

the modem should have a wain connector to connect to the waun port of the lyinsys router.
if your modem is also a built in router (which I have never seen yet) it new to me.
why do you have the linksys connected and how is it connected.

My modem is a 2wire home portal that has built in homePNA, http://www.2wire.com/home/hp_index.html
I'm sure your wondering why I need the linksys router. HomePNA works through phone jacks, the homeportal is in my room, so there are no more phonejacks to use.
Next week I will finaly have my other computer working again and I need it to be online also, thats why I bought the router.

The modem is connected to the wall an ethernet wire goes from it to the linksys and another goes from the linksys to my computer. I didn't changed any settings on the router. When I put in the setup cd it said I was already setup for an internet connnection so I just left it alone.

whats wain and waun?

I just unhooked the linksys router and pluged my computer directly into the modem and I can get to hotmail and post here at pcmech. Anyone know how to fix my router problem?
