SBC DSL networking

hi, i recently subscribe SBC yahoo dsl, and trying to use wireless network, i bought a Uniden WNP1000 access point, and a PCW100 wireless usb card. it work great with my computer, but i'm trying to use other computer with wireless too. I have a cisco wireless card 350. but in other to connect to the internet, my desktop need to connect to the internet using sbc DSL connect first in order for my laptop to connect to the internet. is there anyway to setup so that i don't have to connect both computer at the same time to go on the internet?

here is how i set up.

1. a external wireless Uniden PCW100 connect to the desktop.
2. DSL modem connect to the Uniden Access Point WNP1000.
3. Cisco 350 wireless card connect to laptop.

when i only turn on the laptop, the connection says that it is EXCELLENT, but cannot browse the internet.

what's wrong?

thanks

If you get a wireless DSL router/switch, both your computers can share files and get online whenever they like. You wouldn't be dependant on the desktop to always be on like you have now. Kinda sounds like your trying to set up ICS (Internet Connection Sharing).
