Wireless Network Disconnections
Over the past 3 days my computer has been randomly disconnecting from the access point. I have a D-Link AirPlus ExtremeG+ DWL-G520+ Wireless PCI Adapter. I'm not sure what the other access point is, I know it's compatible with this one. At any given point (mainly while using MSN Messenger) the connection is lost, and then regained within a period of 5 seconds, and it happens often. Any ideas what I can do to better this?

Look for sources of interference, like 2.4ghz phones, microwave ovens, etc. Change the channel you're using on the wireless connection.

There is a microwave oven, it isn't directly in the path, but a metre to the side almost. Could that be it? It just sounds unlikely that someone would use a microwave at 10:00 PM or later.

It's hard to say, but I'd sure find out if it's in use when you have the problem.
