Help!
I just hooked up a netgear wireless router. i can connect to the internet from both my laptop and pc but i cant seem to get file sharing to work what am i doing wrong? the laptop cannot see the pc the pc can see the laptop in the workgroup but can see or access folders both say(network name) is not accessable see admin for rights both run xp home, i ran the network setup on both what should i be checking?

Need to check that file and printer sharing is enabled, and that at least 1 folder or drive is actually enabled as a shared drive or folder on 1 of the PC's, and be sure the workgroup names match exactly, and you may need to turn of XP firewall, found by right clicking the local area connection and then properties. I would say other than those things you should be set up properly as far as IP addresing since you can share the internet connection thru the router....

still no go
file and print sharing is enabled.
as far as i can tell ics is enabled my home pc doesnt have the option to select ics both have the same workgroup what else can i do? |

OK, you don't need ICS enabled with the router in place, so I don't know for sure if that could be causing problems and do you actually have a folder or drive on one of the PC's with sharing enabled???
