Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to set up a VPN with say 8 or 9 home LAN's. I wanted to set up a network that had one central server on which my friends and I could shair files. Is this possible, and if so how can it be done?

sure, it is not only quite possible but also done quite often.
best way to do this is to secure routers do VPN's and then designate a central site as the VPN HQ (you may need to get a higher quality router that allows for multiple VPN tunnels (many of the consumer and SOHO routers allow for 1 or 2 tunnels because encryption is a very processor intensive activity). then "point" all the remote sites to the central site and youa re good to go. |
