Sharing A printer

Hey, i have a couple computers on wireless networking and i want to share a printer but the one computer doesn't seem to see it.

Heres the setup

XP Machine - wired to router, has printer attached to it,

98SE machine - on wireless,

Niether machine can see each other however the 98SE machine can get on and surf the net.

My XP firewalls are off and i enabled the printer to share. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance ,

Welcome to PCMech. Make sure you have shared folders on each computer for them to see. Also, you can check out some good tutorials at www.homenethelp.com

Cool

Did you install the printer on the WIN98 PC? If you did and it still isn't working, you may need to physically install it, get it working and then move it back to the XP PC.

If neither machine can see the other one, it sounds like the computers are not in the same workgroup.

Get the computers seeing each other first, then open Network Neighborhood on the 98 box, find the shared printer, right click, select Install. Have the printer driver disk or CD ready.
