Netgear Wgr614 Firmware Help
I am having a hard time trying to upgrade the firmware on my netgear wgr614v2 router if anyone has one and can give me detailed step by step instructions tried manual, netgear website no luck thanks.

Thanks for the reply, I tried that ,I keep getting a memory allocation error each time I try. I thought I was doing it wrong

I have to ask a stupid question - did you unzip the firmware file into an empty folder?

yes, I did'nt send it to a empty folder, but I also tried off a cd that I burned it to, still no luck I know I am doing something wrong but don't know what, keep getting that memory allocation error, what does that mean?

Burning it to a CD makes it read-only on the CD, that may be causing problems - it's best to upgrade off the hard drive.
If you have another computer there, try using it. Try redownloading the firmware, your download may be corrupted. |
