Wireless connection being EVIL

IM GOING INSANE...

well...

i get this wireless internet connection:

*goes and checks newegg*

well apparently they dont have it in stock... or have it any more... but basically its this...

put into one pacage...

when you first install it it tries to find an internet connection which is does...

when i hook up the router to the modem and computer it cant locate the connection any more...

now i got rid of aol because i hated it...

and i now have roadrunner

but havent installed the cd yet... would that help?

i have no idea whats goin on but i would love to have it workin by saturday...

do not use that cd at all, hide it somewhere

with power off on everything
connect the cabel modem to the cable, turn on power, wait for the link light.

connect the modem to the wan port of the router, power up the router, wait for the link light to light up.

connect nic to the router switch port, power up computer. look for link light on nic to light up and on the router switch.

if you have it set to get ip address automaticaly you should now be on internet.
